God purposely chose what the world considers nonsense in order to shame the wise, and he chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the powerful. 
The choice of God among brothers is amazing, He makes His choice base on callings and gifting not by academic qualifications or physical stature. Reinhard Bonnke was poorer and academically compared to his brother as he confessed, yet God preferred to use him in His evangelical outreach in Africa. The Lord chooses.
