Mark 8:36. Amp.
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life [in the eternal kingdom of God]?
Self ambition is good but not at the detriment of God's calling and purpose in your life. Do not be busy pilling up your bank accounts with little or not time for the lord's work. Why not find a way to balance it.
A business man at the end of his earthly life had to lament: "I have gained worldly prosperity, but my life has been filtered away and Lost in the furtherance of my own trivial and selfish interest.
1 Kings 20:39-40
... and behold, a man turned aside and brought a man to me and said, Keep this man. If for any reason he is missing, then your life shall be required for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.
But while your servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said to him, Such is your own verdict; you yourself have decided it.
Please don't be busy here and there, doing the wrong things that is not assigned to you and lose the very essence of your life.
