A greedy man brings trouble to his family, but he who hates bribes will live.
The river does not swallow who it did not see his or her legs. Watch your heart and see if there is something inside of you that attracts and activates greediness. Why not ask the Lord for a transformation of heart, because He is ready to help you. 
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
