part 3. Discipleship/character development series. (Management)

Management is one of the principles of the kingdom we must pay attention to in order to accomplish the assignments that was given to us. The dictionary meaning of the word manage connotes success and achieving a goal. The advanced d  English dictionary defines management as the act of managing something or those in charge of running a business. Words like administration, supervision, organisation, manager, governance etc, are connected to this principle of the kingdom called management. The importance of management is so critical to God, so He did not allow  plants to grow because there was no man to manage the earth. Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the ...

Discipleship/character development series. Part 2.

In part 1 of this message, We discussed on discipleship, understudying the principles and the person of Jesus. We talk about humility,  endurance, faithfulness etc.   Today we will continue on the same topic but we will be focusing on how to cultivate integrity. Integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and of always having high moral principles.  And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. Job 2:3 KJV. Then the Lord asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil. And he has maintained his integrity, even though you urged me to harm him without cause.” Job 2:3 NLT. Things you need to know about c...

Discipleship/ character development. Part 1.

Discipleship/ character development. Part 1. A Disciple is someone who believes in the idea of a great teacher, especially a religious one and tries to follow them. In other words, discipleship is the training process of believing in our great teacher Jesus Christ and following His teachings and lifestyles. It is a study of how to be like Christ. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19‭-‬20 KJV. And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.  And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,   And hath seen in a vision a ma...

How to defeat temptations.

Temptation is that strong desire to do something you know that is wrong and the things you should not do. Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;  And did all eat the same spiritual meat;  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.  But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.  Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.  Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.  Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.  Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of the...

Grace of God in giving.

The word grace is derived from the Greek word Charis. It simply means God's mercy and favour towards man kind. Today we will be discussing grace from the angle of giving.  Grace here is an enablement, power or divine ability to give.  We learnt how to give from God. He was the one that first gave his all in the person of Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV. God had to give His only son because He loves mankind. Now mankind will learn how to give to God and to fellow man from Him.  Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;  How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.  For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;  Praying us with much...
